Caption: Lineup of interesting power at the old NBEC facility in Campbellton sees four former CP RS-18u locos with a plow between. The units retained their former CP numbers but the "CP" on the flanks was painted out and replaced with a cruddy "NBEC". One would suppose with 25 of these engines on the roster, painting was out of the question. As it turned out, the NBEC, beginning life as a subsidiary of Quebec Railway Corporation on Jan. 28, 1998, with their mainline the former CN secondary main thru the province, stumbled along until being bought back by CN in 2008. Another fallen flag. The locos pictured from front to back are x-CP 1821, 1819, plow 55419, 1866 and 1835. To the extreme left by the 1821 one can just make out the bridge over the Restigouche River to Quebec.
