Caption: Judging by the date, I must have finished my final exams for the term, and I convinced my wife to drive east of Edmonton to catch a few trains.
This westbound "Super Continental" doesn't appear to have the pre-Christmas swelling of its consist as of yet.
The air is still quite cold, but the sun appears to be warming the south side of the train. That was one thing that I liked about Alberta. The sun would shine when it was really cold - not like in the east where it would be damp, not as cold and overcast.
