It is still early in the days of the newly formed 'VIA' system, and in this image one can only spot the B unit and a couple of coaches in the new paint scheme. Almost every day the late afternoon #75 impressed. Today is Aug 30/78, a Wednesday; and yet CN 6780, 4100 and 6864 have to deal with 10 coaches, a decent sized train. I spent a lot of time plopped on the hillside here. And no ticks back then, either.

    That’s a nice image of an important time in Canadian passenger train history. Everything had a no-frills, get ‘er done appearance.

    @PRR5406…second most beautiful in my opinion. Only the Alco PA1′s were more beautiful than the F/FP units :-)
