It has been a long time since I have ventured into Burlington West. It isn't what it used to be but was my only chance to catch CN 422 before it headed away from the sun. I first caught it earlier before working Aldershot but then noticed two bright yellow switches sitting at the east end of the yard, and as luck had it the pair were the only lift for 422 this day. Originally Stelco 84 & 89 and stationed at the companies Hamilton plant, the pair are now surplus and restenciled LDSX 6084 & 6089. CN 422 is seen with a trio of SD75's up front with the pair of switchers as they head onto the Halton sub.

  1. Super consist, the switchers are a real bonus. :-)

  2. Love the trio of SD75′s too!

  3. CN SD70/75I’s are the best units in the fleet! I am sure that the crew was not happy having to lift the switchers, as they will now be speed restricted. Of course if they have special dangerous commodities it won’t matter as they will be restricted to 35MPH

  4. I too have a liking with the SD75′s especially these days with so many GE’s ruling the rails.
