I regret not spending more time over the years along CN's Kingston subdivision. It was never disappointing the times I did spend. From what I recall CN local 590 was based in Bellville and depending on the day of the week it would head either east to Kingston or west to Couburg or Port Hope often with two or three GP9RM's. Luckily I photographed both assignments years ago. Times have changed unfortunately and it seems the GP9RM's have been replaced with newer four and six axle units. It seems a fair bit of local traffic has dried up especaially after visiting Couburg recently and finding no sign of local traffic in the small yard. This day the train was finished all local work along the line and was homeward bound as it storms past the restored station in Napanee, back then rented out as a hair dresser but still also used by VIA Rail.
