Caption: I, like so many others, have always enjoyed Ontario's accessible northern areas. However, in the past years since the province has gone rampant with their gasoline taxes, I have made fewer and fewer trips. And the fabled historic mining area around Boston Creek I've not seen for close to 10 years. It is a shame. If prices stay lower, maybe I'll gas up and head back this spring, before another gas tax (carbon)gets slapped on....Well, enough of the soapbox. In this view, southbound ONR 1735 and 1731 pull a rather lengthy train from, I assume, Cochrane; and this view from the edge of the rock cut here makes for a nice image. In the distance, not visible, is the Adams Spur, connection to former Adams Mine, a location Toronto was once interested in dumping their garbage at. Fortunately, this asinine idea was never approved. The ONR 1735 is still rolling, but 1731 was sold in 2005 and now toils out in Saskatchewan for a private company.
