Grain empties pass the remnants of the Cathedral Siding. I assume if was removed as part of the "Hunterising" of CP, it being a siding that was relatively short, and un-extendable due to tunnels at both ends. I suspect CP doesn't run many 6000 foot trains down the Laggan Sub, so pulling it up appears to make sense. I guess it just puts additional pressures on the RTC to judge meets at Partridge siding; 5 miles and 15+ minutes away. Getting trains out of Field to set up meets with West bounds climbing out of Lake Louise must be a great skill; especially in winter.
