Caption: Fresh vibrant shade of green fill the scene at Beachville on this warm spring day. It’s hard not to take in the outdoor sights and smells after a cold drab winter. I spent the day with a good railfan friend and even though the trains were not all that plentiful, it’s about quality not quantity for me. I’ve always like the small village of Beachville and the OSR has only made me like it more. This is the OSR I remember best, classic MLW’s have had a bit of a revival lately on the railroad and reminds me a lot of my time spent over the years on the Guelph junction railway. I witnessed many of these units first in faded CP “action red” and later fresh coats of OSR’s maroon and cream, reminiscent of the old TH&B. The sound is classic as the RS18 and RS23 accelerate out of town and head for the CP interchange at Woodstock. Don’t get me wrong, I love first generation EMD’s, but this I love a bit more.

Great shot. It’s been quite a while since I’ve photographed a RS23 in service on OSR.
Great shot Marcus
