Caption: For filming of a portion of the movie The Grey Fox, ex MacMillan Bloedel number 1077 now British Columbia Provincial Museum 1077 was used to simulate a CP steam locomotive hauled train at “Kamloops” using the original E&N now CP depot at Parksville on Vancouver Island on Friday 1980-11-14. The regular southward passenger train No. 198 with RDC-1 CP 9064 arrived at 1410, precisely on time (of course, that’s just how we operated). Note the chalked arrivals and departures board for “Kamloops”.
That depot remains in place to this day, now occupied by the Arrowsmith Potter’s Guild, and the young lady from the Wellcox yard office in Nanaimo who accompanied me that day on our first date is with me to this day, too!
