Caption: Donating it's traction motors so that other EMD's can carry on, SD40-2 5985 is on the Whiting truck drop table in plant #2. It now waits it's fate on an outside storage track with only dummy wheel sets in it's trucks.

    Another dandy shop photo. I like how your photographs are unfolding the story of SD40 dispositions. The CN/CP SD40′s have been a large part of my train experience for nearly 50 years. Please keep the story unfolding and good work Paul. Thanks. :-)
