CP 6061 West awaits a crew change in front of the old Canadian Pacific depot in Thunder Bay (Port Arthur), Ontario back on May 5, 2001. In 1980, when I was 12 years old, I stood on the platform here with my mother and grandmother as we headed eastward toward home after taking a 2 week long trip across Canada by rail. I remember we had a CP F on the point, with a CP Geep, and an early VIA F for power on this leg of the trip. Never thought I'd ever be back in Thunder Bay, especially for work.
