Caption: Awh....nice spring-like days......right around the corner as I type this. In this image, it is the 16th of March, 2006; early in the year, but plenty nice enough to be out.
At Dundas mile 2, I am standing at a spot just off to the west of York Rd bridge. This was a great location for shooting downbound (read: Eastward) trains for awhile, 2005 thru 2009, as CN had done a lot of work in shoring up the track bed, as you can see. It only took a few years for foliage to take over, and now, despite a manicuring effort I attempted for a bit, is overgrown with thorn bushes and other ugly things you would not want to attempt to hack down.
Good while it lasted. Now, pretty much off limits. CSX 5219, CN 5647 and 5522 power this morning train, shot around 10AM. By noon the sun angle was poor. Not often did I catch a CSX leader.
