And of note – the diamond at left is called “Irondale” by the SOR – the Hamilton Radial Electric Railway also had a location called Irondale at mile 2.5 of their operation – which is about the same distance from here to the Steam Plant Spur. I suspect the HRER “Irondale” was approximately in this photo as the line turned east at Birch Ave along Burlington St. While not surprising how two railways share a similar name – I have no idea how the name Irondale came to be.
