Caption: A hissing emanates from within the Owen Sound CPR yard as wisps of steam rise into the crisp air off of Georgian Bay. The late evening during Thanksgiving weekend in October 1974 finds a pair of steam locomotives resting during a Toronto - Owen Sound and return fan trip run by Ontario Rail. In the morning, the engines will be serviced, turned, and will depart on their return run with a stop at Chatsworth for a runpast. Continuing south, the trip will take a pause around Markdale due to an issue with poor quality coal, delaying the trip for an arrival 11 hours late.

It really is too bad Bryce’s photos have ended up on ebay. A real shame.
He is missed. Nice photo Bryce!
A shame indeed. I’m hoping whoever acquires them cares enough to clean/restore them properly. Most important, credit the work. Bryce took the time to stamp his name on each slide, plus mark information in great detail. Many of the slides found are left with unknown credits.
