Heading home on the train, I noticed a stopped set of Union Pearson Xpress DMU's. I knew these were testing on the lakeshore routes but never would actively seek them out on the main. This time, however, I said "why not?" and hopped off at Danforth to see them pull for a practice stop. I have word the UPX equipment is set to begin service June 6th.

I knew the dimensional was headed down the Pickering spur, but there was no confirmation on if and/or when it would head down. I tried my luck just because, walking 2km down Bayly Ave from Pickering station to a crossing just east of Brock St, where amazingly, L350's crew was already knocking off the derail and preparing to occupy the road. I couldn't have timed that better.

Coal in Ontario! CN train C772 moves swiftly westwards at Humber with very exquisite motive power on hand. #772 is an empty coal train from Kamloops, BC to Seneca, NY...where the B&P will take it to the B&LE.

Compared to the grey CPPU cans on CP intermodals, CN really amps up the colour on their stackers, with many primary and complementary tones. Here, TEX, CMACGM and EVERGREEN cans populate endless platforms of CN Q104 at Hilda ave.

I have been waiting for months... NS Delaware Lackawanna & Western heritage unit 1074 made its way up the previous night on CN #394, spending the following day at MacMillan Yard before heading out again on train #383. Here CN 2551, CP 9553, NS 1074 power this westbound up the hill at Knuckle Alley.

CN #580 has lifted three covered hoppers from the Ingenia plant at the southeastern end end of the Burford spur and is now returning to Brantford Yard, drifting in between peoples backyards in the process.
